About The Position

Valley Pacific Petroleum Services, Inc. is looking for a qualified candidate to join our team as a Customer Service Representative for the graveyard shift, from 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM, at our Santa Maria location. The Customer Service Representative operates a retail facility by providing top-quality customer service, while accurately transacting sales of fuel and merchandise.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrates a strong team-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to stay engaged and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to work standing without defined break periods and occasionally work extended shifts as assigned by management.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to bend, twist and lift at least 50 lbs. in narrow spaces.
  • Ability to work in varying outdoor climates and in-store cooler environments.

Responsibilities

  • Always provides top quality customer service to every customer and has a positive attitude.
  • Complies with company standards and all applicable local, state, and federal laws when verifying identification for age-restricted product sales.
  • Prepares food and beverages, maintains a clean and well-stocked prep area in compliance with health codes, and consistently meets Chevron’s Customer First and ExtraMile evaluation standards.
  • Conducts Loss Prevention Observations, Loss Investigation and Near Loss Investigations.
  • Remains proactive and productive always, especially during slow periods by organizing, restocking, cleaning, and completing merchandising tasks as directed by management.
  • Monitor and ensure the smooth operation of all systems and processes during quiet periods.
