About The Position

The District Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the operational performance of an assigned territory of 7–10 stores to drive sales growth, profitability, and operational excellence. This role ensures that Store Managers are properly trained, supported, motivated, and held accountable to achieve strong performance and uphold company standards. The District Manager provides strategic direction, monitors financial results, and ensures consistent execution of company policies, procedures, and customer service expectations across all locations. By fostering strong leadership at the store level, the District Manager maximizes the overall success and profitability of the territory. This position is designated as part of the Critical Response Team.

  • Demonstrates the ability to analyze and manage shrink to identify trends, reduce loss, and improve profitability
  • Applies strong problem-solving skills to address operational challenges and implement effective solutions
  • Exhibits strong customer service, human relations, and leadership skills, including the ability to administer corrective action when necessary
  • Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with team members, leadership, vendors, and customers
  • Highly skilled in technology, with the ability to learn, implement, and adapt to an ever-evolving technology landscape
  • Demonstrates hustle in a fast-paced environment by working with urgency, adapting quickly to changing priorities, and taking initiative to complete responsibilities independently
  • Bachelor’s degree required, along with a minimum of three years of retail management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to travel between assigned store locations as required

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all stores within the assigned territory to drive sustained sales growth, profitability, and operational excellence
  • Develop, mentor, and hold Store Managers accountable for performance, customer experience standards, financial results, and team development
  • Build a high-performance culture rooted in respect, accountability, and alignment with company values
  • Drive consistent execution of merchandising, pricing, promotional, and operational initiatives across the district
  • Analyze financial and operational metrics to identify trends, address performance gaps, and implement action plans that improve results
  • Ensure strict compliance with all company policies and applicable local, state, and federal regulations, including age-restricted sales and health and safety requirements
  • Safeguard company assets by reinforcing loss prevention, safety, inventory control, and cash management standards
  • Lead talent acquisition, succession planning, and performance management efforts to ensure strong leadership pipelines within the territory
  • Maintain productive vendor and community relationships that support operational efficiency and brand reputation
  • Monitor territory expenses and operating costs to ensure alignment with budget expectations and profitability goals
  • Escalate significant personnel, compliance, or operational risks to senior leadership in a timely and solutions-focused manner
  • Champion continuous improvement by identifying operational efficiencies, enhancing store standards, and strengthening customer engagement strategies
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
