About The Position

Vuori is looking for a dynamic General Manager to lead our retail store with a focus on people empowerment, development, and accountability to drive strong and sustainable business results. You are the ultimate generalist with a deep understanding of your business and the role each person on the team plays for the store to achieve success. You’ll inspire and grow high-performing teams, foster a positive and inclusive work environment, and empower your people to consistently deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Requirements

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including availability during early mornings, late nights and holidays, with at least one weekend day per week
  • 7 years of retail or service experience, with 4 years of progressive leadership experience in retail management
  • Extensive experience in retail sales leadership, with a focus on strategic planning, execution, and team motivation to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Provide visionary leadership in retail sales, consistently surpassing targets through innovative approaches to customer engagement, product presentation, and promotional activities.
  • Cultivate a customer-centric environment, ensuring exceptional service standards are upheld across all customer interactions and touchpoints.
  • Oversee all aspects of retail operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and store maintenance, ensuring compliance with company standards and policies.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with key stakeholders, including senior management, team members, and external partners, to drive alignment and facilitate collaboration.
  • Demonstrates exemplary leadership qualities that align with Vuori's culture, with a strong commitment to fostering a supportive and collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including the ability to lift, bend, kneel, and safely climb up/down a ladder, the ability to lift, push, or pull up to 30 pounds, and the ability to move around the store for extended periods of time

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing, values‑driven team through clear expectations, consistent feedback, and strong hiring and talent decisions that build a diverse, culture‑aligned workforce.
  • Drive engagement and execution by establishing an intentional meeting cadence, translating priorities into SMART goals, and ensuring training, accountability, and open communication.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive workplace by promoting trust and respect, supporting healthy employee relations, and upholding safety standards and risk‑mitigation practices.
  • Set, implement, and uphold customer service standards to deliver a consistent, best-in-class experience across all touchpoints.
  • Lead from the sales floor during peak business, coaching store leaders in real time to elevate selling behaviors and team performance.
  • Monitor service KPIs, identify trends, recognize great behaviors, and adjust tactics to continually improve the customer experience.
  • Partner with the Community Manager to shape and evolve community strategy that aligns with brand standards, business goals, and customer insights.
  • Support and guide the Community Lead in executing impactful activations (events, sweat experiences, and product seeding) that establish the store as a community destination.
  • Enable community initiatives through thoughtful staffing and team engagement, driving shared ownership, excitement, and accountable execution across the store.
  • Lead product operations and inventory excellence by supporting Back of House and Visual Leads to ensure efficient product flow, accuracy, and elevated in‑store standards.
  • Resolve product issues and drive continuous improvement through partnership with the District Manager, HQ teams, and the Field Visual Manager to execute seasonal visual strategies aligned to brand and business needs.
  • Optimize scheduling to enable flawless execution of company-wide and store-specific product operations, visual merchandising initiatives, and in‑season product management.
  • Build and post weekly schedules that enable execution across retail priorities while following company scheduling standards and applicable labor laws.
  • Own labor and expense management, using budget strategically to drive performance, recognize teams, and deliver sustainable results.
