SUMMARY OF POSITION: Fulfill the overall ministry of Grace Adventures Ministries by overseeing retail operations in a manner that reflects Christ-centered hospitality, excellent stewardship, and outstanding guest service. The Retail Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of retail areas, including product presentation, inventory control, sales performance, staff oversight, and guest experience. This position supports the mission of Grace Adventures Ministries by ensuring retail operations serve guests, campers, and staff effectively while operating efficiently and profitably. ASSUMPTIONS: This person will understand and uphold the Grace Adventures philosophy of ministry and hospitality This person will operate retail spaces with a servant-minded, guest-focused approach This person will maintain attention to detail while managing multiple priorities This person will communicate (written and oral) the ministry of Grace through interactions with guests, staff, and volunteers This person will stay current on retail best practices, merchandising, and customer service trends This person will demonstrate good stewardship of inventory, cash handling, and retail resources This person will be solution-focused and provide timely feedback to supervisors and team members This person will be able to maximize limited hours for efficiency and effectiveness This person will work well with people in a positive, encouraging, and Christ-like manner GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee daily retail operations to ensure a welcoming, organized, and Christ-centered environment Supervise, train, schedule, and seasonal & part-time retail staff and volunteers Ensure excellent customer service and a positive guest experience Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and inventory control Ensure accurate cash handling, point-of-sale procedures, and daily reconciliation Monitor sales performance and assist with reporting as requested Maintain visual merchandising standards and seasonal displays Ensure retail spaces are clean, organized, and safe Communicate operational needs, concerns, and opportunities to the supervisor Support special events, retreats, and seasonal programs as needed
