About The Position

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Driver License
  • Automobile Insurance - 100/300/50 minimum limits of liability
  • Must have the ability to obtain a Tennessee ABC Wholesaler's permit.
  • Basic computer knowledge and a knowledge of Order Processing System

Responsibilities

  • Sells Spirits to retail package stores for wholesale distributor.
  • Service and maintain current accounts with orders for Empire Spirit Products and customer service.
  • Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads.
  • Travels through assigned territory daily to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, sells displays, present items for distribution, and handle damages and off-condition product.
  • Quotes prices and credit terms for orders obtained.
  • Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.
  • Confers with District Manager to resolve customer problems.
  • Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.
  • Identifies and respond to customers' needs.
  • Maintains frequent and open communication with drivers, driver supervisors, district managers, sales managers and the general manager.
  • Prepares and maintains distribution tracking reports, planning and goals, case and dollar tracking and other administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Executes sales plans and maintain accounts according to company standards.
  • Tracks progress of goals on a weekly basis.
  • Participates in supplier work-withs.
  • Continually maintains training and product knowledge.
  • Delivers emergency orders when needed.
  • Attends trade show.
  • Conducts business according to local and state laws.
