About The Position

The Retail Supervisor oversees the day-to-day retail operations of our Spa and Barnaby’s area, ensuring an exceptional guest experience, well-merchandised displays, and a motivated, high-performing team. This role requires a strong understanding of beauty products and retail operations, and works closely with resort management to drive sales, manage buying, and maintain brand standards.

Requirements

  • Previous retail supervisory experience, preferably in a beauty, spa, or luxury hospitality environment
  • Sound knowledge of beauty products, skincare, and current industry trends
  • Experience in retail buying, merchandising, and pricing
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate a small team
  • Basic computer and POS system proficiency
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily retail operations within the spa and beauty retail area
  • Monitor and achieve sales targets, upselling beauty products and treatments to guests
  • Ensure product displays are fully stocked, visually appealing, and correctly priced
  • Process transactions accurately using the POS system and handle cash management
  • Assist in the selection and buying of beauty products, ensuring a range that meets guest needs and aligns with resort standards
  • Negotiate and manage supplier relationships to achieve competitive pricing and favorable terms
  • Set and maintain retail pricing in line with market positioning and margin targets
  • Create and maintain visually compelling product displays that drive sales and reflect current trends
  • Plan and execute seasonal merchandising updates and promotional layouts
  • Lead, train, and motivate retail staff to deliver outstanding guest service
  • Educate the team on beauty products, ingredients, and treatment benefits to support informed selling
  • Assist in scheduling, shift coverage, and performance coaching
  • Act as a first point of contact for staff questions and on-floor issues
  • Conduct regular stock counts and coordinate replenishment orders
  • Minimize shrinkage through proper stock controls and procedures
  • Maintain organized stockrooms and ensure correct product rotation
  • Greet and assist guests with personalized beauty product recommendations
  • Handle guest feedback, complaints, and requests in a professional and timely manner
  • Uphold resort service standards at all times
