About The Position

The Retirement Partners Analyst will support LPL’s business strategy for retirement planning by providing subject matter expertise on our technology platform, tools, and services to internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to advisors, sales, service, compliance, legal, product management, and other key business units. The role will work on projects to implement new features for advisors and clients as well as enhancing existing systems. This role will work closely with business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of projects and provide updates to senior leadership on progress made against strategic goals related to retirement planning.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience required; financial services industry experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required; PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise way; strong analytical skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure and adapt to changes

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with SQL and/or AWS (Ability to read code)
  • Retirement Industry designation preferred (AIF, CPFA, CRPS..)
  • Excel experience (macros, pivot tables, vlookups/xlookups)
  • FINRA licensing would be a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 10% is a possibility

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing a comprehensive retirement planning roadmap based on industry trends, client feedback, and competitive analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, communications, training, etc.) to develop materials to educate employees and clients on LPL’s retirement offerings.
  • Support implementation of retirement plan enhancements and communicate changes to impacted groups.
  • Maintain awareness of current regulatory environment and implement appropriate measures to ensure all products are compliant.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes or eliminate duplication of effort.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders seeking information regarding retirement planning.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to internal and external stakeholders on LPL’s retirement planning solutions.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends related to retirement planning; make recommendations to leadership accordingly.
  • Prepare regular reports for executive team summarizing progress against key performance indicators.
