About The Position

Retirement Strategies Group (RSG), a Strongpoint Partner, is seeking highly motivated and ambitious Retirement Plan Administrators who will provide full client services to a designated caseload of clients, including day to day communication and management of their workflow and project deadlines. This is a great opportunity for a motivated candidate who wants to support all sides of a growing financial services firm. This individual must have strong project management skills, a high level of comfort with technology, and the personality to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment by being adaptable, creative, proactive, and eager to grow in this position as it evolves with the growth of the company. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a self-starter who has some experience as an Administrator, but who is ready to take the next step of growth in their career. A senior-level Administrator title will be considered for candidates who possess strong experience and credentials. The ideal candidate would be someone who is ambitious and looking to grow into leadership in the future. PLEASE NOTE: This is a fully remote position and can be performed from anywhere within the United States; however, due to the primary location of our team and clients, candidates local to New Orleans who can work on a hybrid schedule will be prioritized.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of A-Z retirement plan administration experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of ADP/ACP, 415, 410(b), Top Heavy and 401(a)(4) non-discrimination testing.
  • Experience with Relius ASP software strongly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written, analytical, organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong math and/or accounting skills.
  • Strong initiative, integrity, self-motivation, and results orientation.
  • Ability to organize, set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong MS Office experience, especially Excel and Word.

Nice To Haves

  • ASPPA and/or NIPA credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Independently handle A-Z administration for a caseload of 401k and cross-tested plans.
  • Perform plan ADP/ACP compliance testing accurately and timely.
  • Maintain industry knowledge and share information with team members.
  • Utilize Relius ASP systems and other technologies to maximize efficiencies.
  • Review and recommend plan design changes to clients.
  • Coordinate year-end valuation.
  • Read and interpret plan documents.
  • Import census and participant account data.
  • Perform asset reconciliation/trust accounting.
  • Perform year-end valuation.
  • Handle all preparation and filing for forms 5500, 8955, 5330.
  • Review applications for loan, hardship withdrawals, and account distributions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
