About The Position

As a Retirement Plan & Wealth Management Advisor you will spend your day talking to retirement plan participants & individual wealth management clients about their retirement savings needs, financial objectives, investment risk tolerance and recommend an appropriate strategy. You will be appointed as a wealth management advisor to an existing book of individual clients and manage their ongoing needs. You will be responsible for conducting annual portfolio reviews with existing clients to ensure alignment with their financial goals. Additionally, you will manage day-to-day transactional needs, providing timely and accurate support to maintain client satisfaction. You will also work with a team of retirement plan advisors to create retirement plan education strategies for plan sponsors which will include webinars, 1 on 1 participant meetings, and newsletters. To excel in this role, you should already have the appropriate licenses and knowledge of all the latest financial products on the market. A successful advisor is organized, responsive, proactive, and dedicated to excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • FINRA Series 65 or 66 license
  • 3+ years of relevant financial services industry experience
  • Comprehensive retirement industry and investment knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Detail orientated and superior organizational skills
  • Deadline driven
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate with others
  • Mastery of various financial planning and investment software products (Orion, MoneyGuide Pro etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Provide education support to retirement plan participants through 1 on 1 meetings.
  • Create retirement plan education strategies for plan sponsors which include webinars and newsletters.
  • Provide guidance to participants regarding their retirement plan accounts (general guidance, instructions for updating investments/contributions, discussing options for rollovers, distributions, etc.)
  • Build and maintain an existing book of business.
  • Prepare and interpret financial document summaries, investment performance reports, and income projections for clients.
  • Participate in day-to-day communication with clients and participants proactively.
  • Analyze client financial data received from clients to develop strategies for meeting clients' financial goals.
  • Talking to clients to determine a comprehensive financial picture (may include expenses, income, financial objectives, tax status, risk tolerance) or other information needed to develop a financial plan.
  • Manage and update client portfolios.
  • Place trades for clients (at various custodians).
  • Ensure the highest level of customer service and satisfaction.
  • Contribute to various team meetings.
  • Contribute to a positive workplace environment.
  • Perform other related duties as requested by clients or managers.
