About The Position

The Reunion and Volunteer Engagement Manager is responsible for advancing meaningful alumni connection and participation by leading reunion and volunteer engagement efforts that foster lifelong connection, service, and generosity among Principia’s alumni community for Principia School and Principia College. This role designs and executes volunteer driven strategies that strengthen alumni relationships, increase participation in reunions and annual giving initiatives, and support Principia’s broader engagement and fundraising goals This is a dual reporting position, reporting jointly to the Senior Director of Alumni and Field Relations and the Director of Annual Giving. Working in close collaboration with Alumni & Field Relations, Development, and campus partners, the Reunion and Volunteer Engagement Manager aligns reunion programming, volunteer leadership, and class based engagement to deliver cohesive, mission aligned experiences for alumni, students, parents, and friends of Principia. Requirements

  • Student of Christian Science preferred
  • Supportive of Principia’s guiding statements as articulated herehttps://www.principia.edu/about/guiding-statements [https://www.principia.edu/about/guiding-statements]
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, nonprofit management, higher education, business, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Three years of experience in alumni relations, volunteer management, fundraising, event planning, or related fields, including supporting or executing engagement and fundraising campaigns
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, train, motivate, and manage volunteers, leading diverse volunteer-driven initiatives effectively
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Familiarity with fundraising platforms and CRM systems is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Leads a comprehensive volunteer engagement strategy supporting Principia School and Principia College, in partnership with the Senior Director of Alumni and Field Relations and the Director of Annual Giving
  • Recruits, onboards, trains, and supports reunion and annual giving volunteers, ensuring clarity of roles, expectations, and timelines
  • Serves as the primary relationship manager for reunion and giving‑day volunteers, providing consistent communication, guidance, recognition, and stewardship
  • Builds and sustains long‑term volunteer relationships that deepen alumni connection and encourage ongoing engagement beyond a single event or campaign
  • Plans and executes reunion volunteer programs and reunion events in partnership with the Senior Director of Alumni and Field Relations, collaborating closely with alumni relations and teams to ensure seamless event experiences
  • Coordinates volunteer‑led activities and class‑based engagement efforts to create meaningful, well‑organized reunion experiences
  • Ensures reunion programs align with broader alumni engagement and philanthropic goals, with oversight from Senior Director
  • Leads and supports senior class gift programs at both the School and College, engaging students, parents, and campus partners to encourage participation and build a culture of philanthropy
  • Partners with the Annual Giving team to support volunteer‑driven campaigns, including Giving Tuesday and AllI in for Prin
  • Manages and supports Class Agents and other volunteers involved in giving‑day initiatives
  • Tracks participation and engagement outcomes for volunteer‑supported efforts and shares insights with broader team
