As the Senior Revenue Accounting Manager, you will lead Nextdoor’s revenue accounting function and partner closely with leaders across Sales, Sales Operations, Account Management, Accounts Receivable, Product, Engineering, Business Systems, and Finance & Strategy. You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely revenue reporting while supporting the continued evolution of our revenue models. You will own the full revenue close process and report revenue results directly to senior management and the Chief Financial Officer. This includes advertising revenue billed through invoices, self-serve advertising revenue processed through payment platforms, and partnership revenue streams. The role also includes ownership of quarterly commission calculations and accounting, as well as partnering with Technical Accounting to maintain and apply our revenue recognition policies under ASC 606. Revenue at Nextdoor is a dynamic and rapidly evolving area of the business. Our Sales and Product teams regularly test new revenue streams, pricing models, and partnership structures as we grow the platform, which means Accounting must support innovation while maintaining strong financial reporting and controls. In this role, you will operate in a “build while flying” environment—developing practical solutions that allow the business to move quickly while steadily improving and scaling our revenue processes over time. The ideal candidate is comfortable navigating ambiguity, partnering closely across teams, and creatively designing processes that are both efficient today and adaptable for future growth.
