About The Position

AECOM is seeking a Right-of-Way Project Specialist located in Coral Gables, Florida. Draft, review, and revise real estate agreements to include complex, commercial ground leases, development agreements, license agreements, and easement agreements based on terms and conditions developed from proposals and subsequent negotiations in coordination with real estate development staff and legal staff Draft amendments to existing ground leases, development agreements, and license agreements based on negotiated changes to those agreements Provide recommendations regarding planned or existing leases and agreements to maximize benefits to DTPW. Such recommendations may include provisions to be included in solicitations, leases, and development agreements, and amendments to existing agreements Development of solicitation documents to include Requests for Proposals, Requests for Qualifications, and/or Invitations for Bid, as appropriate, for the development of DTPW property Assist in the organization and maintenance of lease and agreement documentation Route real estate agreements and other items for County approval. Contact County employees and other third parties as well as attend meetings in order to complete DTPW functions. Review joint development procurement methods and documents and provide recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

  • Minimum BS/BA in Business, Finance, Real Estate, Law or related field and 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Experience understanding agreements reached in verbal negotiations and drafting written agreements accurately and concisely reflecting such agreed-upon terms and conditions.
  • Proficiency in Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Paralegal certification from a program approved by the American Bar Association
  • Experience in ground lease development
  • Experience in drafting commercial real estate development leases and agreements.
  • Experience in the field of large-scale, commercial real estate development or related field
  • Experience presenting complex real estate agreements and documents
