Job Title Risk Application Support Advisor What does a successful Risk Application Support Advisor do at Fiserv? A successful Risk Application Support Advisor at Fiserv keeps our card risk application platforms stable, secure, and performing at scale. We detect and resolve production issues fast, partnering across global operations, engineering, and client teams to protect transaction integrity and meet service commitments. We continuously improve operational readiness through monitoring, automation, disciplined change execution, and disaster recovery planning. What you will do? Detect, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues quickly, partnering with global teams to maintain service continuity, meet SLAs, and support client needs. Provide production support and incident resolution for risk applications across UNIX/Linux clusters and Java-based platforms (web services, Coherence cache management, and batch job monitoring), including 24x7 on-call rotations and escalations. Deploy, validate, and rollback application releases with Development, QA, and Release/Change Management; create runbooks, complete post-mortems/RCA after fallbacks, and ensure configuration management and CI best practices. Build and maintain automation and monitoring (scripts, alerts, Splunk/Dynatrace/ExtraHop integrations) to detect issues early, reduce mean time to resolution, and notify technical/product teams. Drive reliability improvements including capacity planning, performance tuning, scaling/provisioning, execution of the Risk Disaster Recovery Plan, and continuous improvement of documentation, deployment/testing strategies, and RPA/automation integrations.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of hands-on UNIX/Linux and Java production application support experience, including shell scripting and Oracle (SQL) operations.
  • 5+ years supporting middleware/app servers and schedulers (e.g., Apache; WebSphere/WebLogic/JBoss; Control-M/AutoSys) plus experience with CI/CD and configuration management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent, plus 5+ years of technical experience.
  • Experience working with at least 3 of the following: NoSQL/Coherence (Couchbase/Cassandra/MongoDB/Coherence), monitoring (Splunk/Dynatrace/ExtraHop), automation (UIPath/Automation Anywhere/Blue Prism), Agile/DevOps, ITIL production support.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ deployments or operational experiences supporting Oracle GoldenGate.
  • 5+ projects delivered using RPA/automation tools (UIPath, Automation Anywhere, and/or Blue Prism).
  • 1+ year of practical exposure supporting risk platforms (Falcon, Feedzai, Rule Manager, Case Management, Risk Gateway) and/or financial services/banking production support.
