About The Position

Iteris is seeking an RMA Technician who will be responsible for performing product diagnosis, repairs and service to include: diagnose problems, including problem identification, research of problem, isolation of issue, and completion of resolution. Candidates for this position should be excellent communicators with advanced problem-solving and analytical skills, be detail-orientated and well-organized, and have a very strong commitment. Strong technical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues is needed, with the ability to perform effectively with high quality with little direct supervision.

Requirements

  • High School degree or general education degree (GED)
  • Over three (3) years working in a manufacturing environment
  • Over two (2) years experience with RMA transactions and process handling
  • Troubleshooting, identification of electronic and mechanical failure modes
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, written orders and specifications, blueprints, and instructions
  • Fluent domain of the English language: Ability to read, write and speak English well
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Support assembly as needed
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to exert moderate physical effort, typically involving, some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (up to 50 pounds)

Responsibilities

  • Simulate, emulate and troubleshoot customer's issues and repair or replace the electronic component in a timely manner
  • Provide detailed symptom descriptions for failures uncovered during functional test to assist in component-level troubleshooting
  • Adhering to Manufacturing Process instructions or other established procedures during the manufacturing process to produce a quality product
  • Follow all applicable work instructions to perform testing and repair processes
  • Take initiative to identify problems and their root causes as well as participate in implementing solutions
  • Discuss problems (technical and process) encountered while testing/troubleshooting with manager and engineering staff and recommend solutions to improve work efficiency
  • Escalate product and process issues to management and help with problem resolution
  • Follow all corporate, safety and production procedures and regulations and maintains a clean and orderly workstation
  • Perform additional duties that may be given or assigned from time to time or as needed due to the demand of business
  • May work longer hours when needed
