POSITION SUMMARY The AC & DC Electrician will be responsible for all 100v and 24v wires and equipment to be installed. They will read truck specification books to know what all is required. The AC & DC Electrician will install all electrical components onto the fire apparatus. Also, they will prepare for light installation by drilling holes and fabricating. Requirements

High school diploma/GED.
Strong mechanical and technical ability required.
Low voltage electrical experience required.
Able to read and work from blueprints/spec books.
Able to read and understand a tape measure accurately.
Able to follow written and verbal directions.
Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
Able to perform simple computer tasks to obtain information/changes related to the build process and/or troubleshoot.
Able to identify quality issues, recognize changes within the production process, and adjust as needed.
Able to prioritize work and to multitask while adhering to deadlines.
Able to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
Able to understand and follow all safety policies to promote a safe working environment for all.

Nice To Haves

110V Electrical experience preferred.
Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Installs all electrical components onto ARFF fire apparatus and performs any cable management as needed.
Routes and equips 100v and 24v wires in Panthers in order to connect the electrical components of the truck.
Tests equipment and diagnose electrical problems.
Prepares for light installation by drilling holes and fabricating.
Reads truck specification books to know what all is required to complete the build of the fire truck apparatus.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the organization and our members.
