Job Summary Provides RMP quality assurance for all services and deliverables required to support the Records Management Program which includes initial receiving and preparation for document digitization, validating records cataloging and storage post digitization, digitization management throughout document scanning and image management. Supports implementation of enterprise-wide effort to digitize all agency analog (paper, maps, aerial film, microfiche, hardcopy film) records as mandated by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA)-Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Memorandum M-19-21, Transition to Electronic Records Primary Duties Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. These duties and responsibilities will be rated on the Annual Performance Review. Prepare and implement quality assurance policies and procedures in accordance with federal guidelines digitization, the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and all priorities set by the agency digitization manager (Government). Maintain overall quality control of products, adhering to reliability, performance, and agency expectations. Monitors, inspects, and proposes measures to correct or improve agency final products and processes in order to meet established quality standards. Ensure staff is properly trained by providing orientation, initial, daily, and recurring job skill training to RMP Imaging Technicians and others. Develop and implement inspection activities, the detection and resolution of problems, and the delivery of satisfactory outcomes and ensures final products meet all Agency, and National Archives & Records Administration (NARA) quality standards. Perform Digital Production Manager duties during PM’s absence. Additional Responsibilities Set and implement internal and external quality requirements to ensure products/services meet Agency expectations. Apply knowledge and understanding of quality control processes, standards, and procedures to implement multi-layered quality control methods. Perform routine inspections and quality tests, identifying standards and safety regulations are observed. Troubleshoot, problem-solve, and adjust equipment settings to achieve highest quality and efficiency. Identify product defects - ripped/torn, folds, paper quality, etc. Document all issues and correct simple defects if possible. Record and report issues; make necessary simple adjustments to the document(s). major defects will be reported to supervisor. Validate quality processes; establish product specifications and quality attributes, measuring production, and document evidence to determine operational success. Maintain clean safe work areas throughout the workday. Apply specific policy and guidelines associated with digitization/scanning operations for scanning and storing a variety of information. Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.
