About The Position

Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 Shift: Full-time, (4) 9 hour shifts working 6:45 am - 4:15 pm, for 72 hours per pay period. This position requires on-call for 50% of the month. UnityPoint Health - Finley Hospital is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiac Catheterization Lab team. Requirements

Graduate of accredited nursing program. Must obtain BSN within 12 years of hire
One (1) year of experience in a critical care setting
Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Iowa
Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or within three (3) months from date of hire
Must possess and maintain current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification or within one (1) year from date of hire

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, including cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, and stent placements
Prepare patients pre-procedure and monitor them post-procedure for complications
Assist physicians and the interdisciplinary team during procedures
Administer medications and moderate sedation per hospital protocols
Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and hemodynamic status
Maintain sterile technique and ensure patient safety at all times
Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and discharge instructions
Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record
Participate in on-call rotation as required
