About The Position

Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 Shift: Full-time, (4) 9 hour shifts working 6:45 am - 4:15 pm, for 72 hours per pay period. This position requires on-call for 50% of the month. UnityPoint Health - Finley Hospital is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiac Catheterization Lab team. Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited nursing program. Must obtain BSN within 12 years of hire
  • One (1) year of experience in a critical care setting
  • Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Iowa
  • Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or within three (3) months from date of hire
  • Must possess and maintain current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification or within one (1) year from date of hire

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, including cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, and stent placements
  • Prepare patients pre-procedure and monitor them post-procedure for complications
  • Assist physicians and the interdisciplinary team during procedures
  • Administer medications and moderate sedation per hospital protocols
  • Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and hemodynamic status
  • Maintain sterile technique and ensure patient safety at all times
  • Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and discharge instructions
  • Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record
  • Participate in on-call rotation as required
