Where You’ll Work Penrose - St. Francis Health Services is a full-service, 712-bed acute care provider in Colorado Springs comprising Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Hospital and St. Francis Hospital - Interquest. Penrose Hospital serves as the anchor hospital of Penrose-St. Francis Health Services with 300-licensed beds and the ability to provide tertiary (high tech) medical-surgical services with an emphasis on elective and outpatient care. Job Summary and Responsibilities Qualified external applicants with at least six months of direct RN experience are eligible for a $20,000 sign-on bonus! To be eligible for the sign-on bonus, you must be hired into a full-time or part-time position; PRN positions are not eligible. Some exclusions apply. The schedule for this position is three 12-hour shifts per week We offer night shift differential of $5.75 from 11pm to 7am 3rd Floor Intermediate Cardiac Intermediate Medical The Cardiology Department at Penrose Hospital, one of our established Magnet® hospitals, specializes in cardiology, cardiac surgery, vascular, telemetry and has 36 beds. Our patient mix is cardiac, cardiac surgical, vascular, pulmonary, arrhythmias and we receive overflow from other departments. Our mission is to provide the highest quality care to our patients. Requirements

• Associates Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs
• RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact

Nice To Haves

• Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred
• One year experience preferred
• Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty

Responsibilities

• Facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient.
• Promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act.
• Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.
