Scope of Work The Cath Lab Charge Lead Nurse role is to provide direct oversight and supervision of all cath lab processes under the direction of the Nurse Leader. This is inclusive of but not limited to staffing, scheduling, and boarding changes affecting current shift, patient care issues and concerns. Appropriate allocation of resources responding to the department emergencies and handling employee and patient issues and concerns. In addition to ensuring consistent flow of patients through the department functions within the framework of policies and procedures of the hospital and demonstrates growth/development. The Cath Lab Charge Lead Nurse is highly visible within the department to support the staff and partner with the physicians.

Requirements

  • Graduated from an accredited school of nursing Required
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate's degree or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's Degree B.S.N., or M.S.N., or DNP/PhD - if not minimum BSN prepared, new graduate/nurse with less than one (1) year experience is required to enroll in an accredited BSN program within one (1) year of licensure date and complete within five (5) years required. This is effective April 18, 2023.
  • 2 years of relevant experience Two (2) years of recent cath lab nursing required.
  • LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
  • CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association 180 Days required
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required
  • CRT-Specialty Certification - UNKNOWN Unknown preferred
