RN- CHARGE NURSE
About The Position
DEFINITION: The Charge Nurse (Registered Nurse), utilizing theoretical concepts as a basis for decisions in practice will assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized nursing care in accordance with standards of nursing practice for pediatric/adult/geriatric patients in the Surgery Department. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for the prescription of nursing interventions, the coordination of patient care and activities, and the delegation of those aspects of care which may be provided by others. The Charge Nurse will perform all duties in accordance to the mission, vision, and values of McBride Orthopedic Hospital. This is a safety sensitive position.
Requirements
- Current license by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing to practice as a Registered Nurse.
- Must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
- Possess or be willing to obtain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
- Completes Hospital and nursing competency within 3 months of employment and annually, submits to Education Coordinator.
- OR Charge Nurse (RN) must also possess Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification.
