About The Position
Position Summary: The Charge Nurse is responsible for the delivery of patient care, utilizing the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation while meeting competently all safe expectations of a nurse. Position Accountabilities: The Charge Nurse provides direct supervision to all personnel on the assigned unit and coordinates the delivery of nursing services during a shift. This position is an integral role in the leadership of the Department of Nursing and requires sound managerial skills and a high degree of independent judgment and critical thinking skills.
Requirements
- Current CA RN License
- Current BLS Provider
- Current ACLS Provider
- One year staff nurse experience
- External candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in nursing or above
Nice To Haves
- Previous acute hospital experience
- Previous supervisory experience
- Knowledge of cardiac monitoring and basic arrhythmia interpretation.
