Responsibilities Assesses the status of all patients and implements appropriate nursing care. Administers prescribed medications and treatments following approved nursing procedures. Observes patients, records significant conditions and reactions and notifies supervisor, anesthesiology, or physician of significant incidents. Assesses patient vital signs to detect deviations from normal and determine patient progress. Qualifications Requires a basic knowledge of pathophysiology, the nursing process, nursing interventions, pharmacology, methods utilized for delivering nursing care and the management of patients and personnel Requires graduation from an accredited school of nursing and current Indiana RN licensure Requires a working knowledge of nursing techniques and intervention skills Requires at least six months of clinical experience Requires BLS certification Previous OR nursing experience is preferred Benefits We believe that work-life balance is critical to fulfilling our values of excellence and service.
