About The Position

Your Role:
Responsible for reviewing and coordinating admission referrals from hospitals, medical/surgical floors, emergency departments, and the transfer center to the Behavioral Health Center (BHC).
Liaises on behalf of the Behavioral Emergency Services Team to facilitate communication, transfers, and care coordination for patients identified as needing psychiatric care and BHC admission.

Requirements

• Associate degree in nursing.
• Three (3) years of relevant work experience
• Licensed as a registered nurse (RN) in accordance with Florida Statutes, Title XXXII (Regulation of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 464 (Nurse), Part I (Nursing Practice Act) [includes multistate compact licensure].

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Three (3) to five (5) years of RN experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from an accredited American Heart Association (AHA) instructor.
• Other specialized life support requirements designated by work area.
