Pre and Post GI and IR patients, ortho, breast reconstruction, GYN, urology, colorectal Patient Ratio: 1:4. Typical census 30-35 patients per day. The Registered Nurse on Unit is a key player in patient care management, following our nursing practice model. They work with other health care staff to deliver patient care effectively. Our Registered Nurses use the nursing process efficiently. They diagnose patient responses to health issues and create care plans accordingly. It includes evaluating healthcare needs and responses.

Requirements

Day Surgery RN experience preferred or a min of 5 years of in patient RN experience required.
Strong IV skills and ability to work in a busy fast paced, environment
Completion of an accredited course or have at least 2 years of experience surpassing the minimal qualification required.
Field of Study: The applicable major should be nursing.
A minimum of 2 years in a relevant role is expected or a min of 5 years of in patient RN experience required
Certification: Hold a BLS certificate now or obtain within 30 days of starting in this role.

Use problem-solving strategies and utilize available resources to support patients, family and staff as part of a systems thinking approach.
