We are currently hiring for our Med/Surg Float Pool at Essentia Health Duluth - Miller Dwan! Essentia Health Duluth - Miller Dwan consists of the following floors: - Observation Unit - Inpatient Rehab - Adolescent Behavioral Health - Adult Behavioral Health - Med/Surg This float pool is primarily between Observation, Inpatient Rehab, and Med/Surg Floors as we have a separate Behavioral Health Float Pool. Requirements

  • BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing
  • Current nursing licensure in Minnesota
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month
  • 1 year Acute RN experience preferred, Critical Care experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • PALS or ACLS preferred
  • PALS or ACLS preferred

Responsibilities

  • Organizing and providing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
  • Team leader and delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions.
  • Contribute to meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and in turn serve the community in which you live.
  • Meet the requirements of the Joint Commission as applicable and/or other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.
