About The Position

Functions in collaborative process with CARE team staff to assess and implement the educational needs of the department. Provides education and resources for staff, patients and families and the community. Provides patient care as a Forensic Nurse Examiner. Skillfully and consistently performs daily clinical duties per established policy and procedure. Nurse will deliver care with a team-orientation, an emphasis on good customer relations, sound clinical judgment and appropriate decision-making abilities. Shift will primarily be 3p - 3a with rotating weekends/holidays. Must be able to work different shifts as needed. Shift/Schedule will be discussed more in the interview. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years ICU and/or ED experience required.
  • BSN required.
  • Current permit or license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas
  • Must complete Pediatric Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) certification within 1 year of hire date.
  • Current BLS.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior teaching experience preferred.
  • MSN preferred.
