Cleveland Clinic offers expanded access to pediatric infusion for children and teens with Crohn's disease, juvenile arthritis, uveitis, dermatomyositis, allergies, endocrine conditions, hematological disorders, neurological disorders, pediatric cancer, and those who have undergone blood or marrow transplantation. A caregiver in this position works M-F, from 7:30AM – 4:00PM. No weekends/holidays.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ADN or BSN program)
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • One year of recent experience as an RN

Nice To Haves

  • BSN (Bachelor's of Science in Nursing)
  • Two years of recent experience as an RN

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic or therapeutic services to hospitalized patients in various healthcare settings.
  • Assess patients, complete nursing assessments, document findings in patient records and notify physicians of abnormal findings.
  • Perform telephone triage and call rotations.
  • Perform nursing procedures and administer treatments and medications.
  • Establish care plans in collaboration with patients, families and the health care team.
  • Coordinate ongoing care, identify discharge needs and facilitate discharge planning.
  • Evaluate, initiate and maintain standards of care.
  • Educate patients and families.
  • Cover other nursing roles in the department.
