Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; relevant experience may be considered
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
  • Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program
  • Basic Life Support (AHA) required; additional life support certifications may be required based on unit specialty
  • 5–7 years of relevant clinical experience, demonstrating progressive responsibility and leadership capability

  • Clinical specialty certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Providing unit leadership and management oversight in the absence of administrative leaders
  • Facilitating safe and efficient patient flow, including patient placement and throughput
  • Serving as a resource and consultant for emergent, complex, or unusual situations
  • Collaborating with clinical teams to resolve issues and escalate concerns appropriately
  • Ensuring adherence to patient care policies, regulatory guidelines, and organizational standards
