About The Position

Overview Lead a high-acuity ICU team within a structured acute care environment, overseeing both a primary ICU unit and overflow capacity. This role is ideal for an experienced critical care nurse leader who excels in operations, team development, and quality performance. You will partner closely with nursing leadership to drive clinical excellence, staff engagement, and patient outcomes across a 24/7 unit.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (or eligible)
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of critical care experience in an acute care setting
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience (Charge RN, Supervisor, or Manager)
  • BLS certification within 30 days of hire
  • ACLS certification within 30 days of hire
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the ICU and ensure appropriate staffing and patient flow
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for nursing staff
  • Maintain accountability for clinical quality metrics, patient safety, and regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care delivery
  • Support staff development, education, and succession planning
  • Manage departmental budgets, resources, and productivity targets
  • Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and evidence-based practices
  • Lead process improvement initiatives and support organizational goals
