Requirements
- Active RN license
- 2+ years inpatient psych or emergency psych experience
- Calm communicator with strong critical‐thinking skills.
- Must be 21 or older
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred.
- Prior charge experience a plus.
Responsibilities
- Serve as on‐shift clinical leader: assign staff, prioritize admissions/discharges, and coordinate with intake and ED transfers.
- Support RNs/LPNs with assessments, med administration, restraint/seclusion per policy, and timely documentation.
- Lead real‐time de‐escalation and code responses; ensure post‐event debriefs and learning.
- Validate rounds, safety checks, and environment‐of‐care standards; escalate facilities/security needs.
- Precept new hires and students; champion competencies and policy adherence.
- Ensure continuity of care overnight with vigilant observation and timely documentation.
- Manage after‐hours admissions and urgent needs; prepare a thorough handoff to the day team.
