The Postpartum/Nursery Unit at Hillcrest Hospital is proud to be the premier provider of family-centered maternity support in the geographic area. With private rooms for new mothers and adjacent sleeping arrangements for loved ones, our patients can find peace and comfort within our welcoming facility. As an RN on this team, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care by interacting directly with patients, families, and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare information as needed. This position requires a caregiver who is empathetic, understanding and nurturing to ensure quality patient care and effective life-saving treatment.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • One year of current acute care RN experience OR military RN experience

  • Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN)

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care.
  • Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans.
  • Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
  • Educate patients and their families.
