Provides coordination of the activities and flow of work for the assigned clinical program.

Requirements

  • Three years' registered nurse experience
  • Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) required within 90 day of employment.
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
  • Registered Nurse (RN) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration
  • Registered Nurse (RN) Issued by Compact State
  • Registered Nurse (RN) - Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN)
  • Registered Nurse (RN) - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates the development, implementation and evaluation of transplant services and initiatives.
  • Plans, implements, evaluates, and coordinates appropriate patient care related to transplant processes.
  • Maintains program documentation and review to support regulatory and compliance regulations.
  • Assists with determining appropriate training for the staff and developing the learning program.
  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality outcomes.
  • Collaborates with others to assist with problem identification and resolution, cost containment issues, implementation of new services, and systems/performance measures.
  • Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Applies the existing body of evidence-based practice and scientific knowledge in health care to nursing practice, ensuring that nursing care is delivered based on patient's age-specific needs and clinical needs as described in the departments Scope of Service.
  • As an SSM Health nurse, I will demonstrate the professional nursing standards defined in the professional practice model. Uses the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses to guide his/her response to the current and evolving health and nursing needs of our patients and our patient populations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
