RN (Registered Nurse-Ambulatory Surgery Center- Up To $74.20/ Hour Interim Healthcare is looking to add to our dynamic team of Healthcare professionals! This particular Ambulatory Surgery Center need is in the East Metro and is a long term assignment expected to last through the end of 2026. Schedule : Monday- Friday with start times varying between 6am, 8:30am or 10:30am and working 8 hour shift Pay: Up to $74.20/ Hour depending on experience
Requirements
- BSN degree
- Current RN license with the State of MN
- Current BLS, ACLS and PALS
- Experience working in an Ambulatory Surgery Center/ Same Day Surgery Clinic
- Experience with the EPIC charting system
- Ability to pass a criminal background study
Responsibilities
- Working in all areas of the surgery center throughout their shift including Pre-OP, PACU and Post-Op
- Working with patients as young as 5 years old through geriatrics (strictly orthopedics)
- Perform Pre and Post -Op calls and screenings
- Develop and initiate plan of patient care using an outcomes-based approach ensuring application of age-related growth and development principles.
- Coordinate, oversee, deliver, and delegate nursing care based on patient assessment/standards of care.
- Document, reassess and alter plan of care based on patient’s response to nursing interventions on an ongoing basis.
- Communicate pertinent patient data to other members of the health care team in a timely fashion.
- Collaborate/coordinate with other health care team members, patient, and family members to determine necessary resources (social services, home care, type of equipment, information, etc.) and provide continuity of patient care.
- Assess learning needs of patients and provide comprehensive, individualized health care teaching to patient and family
