About The Position

Interim HealthCare is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN ) to join our Community Staffing team! The position would be supporting an assisted living/memory care community in the Minneapolis/ St. Paul metro area. The RN will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and health of our senior residents. The ideal candidate will have experience in geriatric nursing and a passion for providing high-quality care to elderly individuals. Come join our amazing team of healthcare professionals! Hourly pay rate: $50-$60/hour Schedule: 8am-5pm Monday - Friday

Requirements

  • RN degree from an accredited school of nursing and current and valid RN license in the state of Minnesota.
  • Current CPR/ BLS.
  • Previous experience in geriatric nursing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach to working with senior residents.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Case Management for residents in an assisted living/ memory care facility including comprehensive health assessments, medication management and assisting DON with various documentation and reporting related to resident care.
  • Supervising CNA's/ PCA's on your shift
  • Provide health education to residents and their families on various topics such as disease management, preventative care, and healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Coordinate and communicate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to ensure comprehensive and holistic care for residents.
  • Respond to medical emergencies promptly and efficiently, following established protocols and providing immediate care as needed.
  • Work closely with the Director of Nursing, nursing staff, and other team members to maintain a cohesive and supportive care environment.
  • Foster open and transparent communication with residents, their families, and staff to promote a positive and collaborative care environment.
