About The Position

Up to a $12,500 sign-on bonus available for select med surg RN Residency night shift positions. Saint Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit is looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Medical Intermediate team. Medical intermediate is a 30-bed unit that cares for a variety of diagnosis & complex medical conditions including the care of surgical, cardiac, & stroke patients. The nursing team on medical intermediate values unit teamwork, quality patient care, & has a passion for growth/development. With several experienced charge nurses who joined the team upon the units opening, this group has a strong foundation & are eagerly looking forward to growing our team. Highlights of the residency program include: 12-month, evidence-based program (NCSBN Transition to Practice model) 1:1 preceptorship + dedicated mentors & clinical educators Strong leadership support and shared governance Build confidence, clinical skills, and your long-term nursing career Accountable for utilizing the nursing process. Responsible for performing patient care delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff. Responsible for coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This clinical nurse demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies rules guidelines and procedures. Tier 3 will work at three metro hospital entities.

Requirements

• 1 year Registered Nurse (MO) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS)
• Associate Degree
