About The Position

This is a benefited, full time position generally working Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm. Hours will vary as needed. Expand Your Skills in Innovative Cardiology: Develop expertise in novel structural heart interventions, atrial fibrillation management, contemporary heart failure treatments, implantable device therapies, and echocardiography in cardiac care. What you'll do: About 80%25 of this position is working on computer messages and phone calls, while only about 20%25 is hands on/in-person patient care (mostly IV placement). Work hand in hand with the Echo department placing IVs for contrasts. Perform phone triage, giving procedure instructions and educating patients pre and post procedure while documenting patient interaction in Epic. Ensure Scripps patients and their families have an exceptional health care experience. Practice infection control and contribute to the team as necessary to ensure quality patient care within your own scope of practice. Patient care includes compliance with patient assessments and care tasks, triaging, completion of clinical procedures, emergency protocols and medication administration. Works collaboratively with the other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

Requirements

  • ADN or Nursing Diploma CA RN license
  • American Heart Association BLS
  • American Heart Association ACLS

Nice To Haves

  • BSN
  • 1+ years of RN experience
  • Cardiology experience
  • IV placement experience

Responsibilities
