Pomperaug Woods is recruiting for a hospitality focused RN Supervisor to join our team! The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for the overall supervision of staff during an assigned shift to ensure the delivery of quality care to residents. Maintains accurate and complete records. Acts as liaison between nursing, resident, families, physicians and ancillary staff. Assists in quality control audits. Models and promotes Pomperaug Woods CARES. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum RN degree in Nursing required.
Minimum of (1) year experience in Nursing experience preferred.
Current CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

Geriatric/rehabilitation experience with a good understanding of restorative nursing. Supervisory experience preferred. Good computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides care to residents according to each resident’s individualized plan of care, and according to facility policies and procedures.
Directs and monitors nursing staff to ensure compliance to resident plan of care.
Make scheduling adjustments as needed.
Communicates in a positive and effective manner.
Maintains accurate documentation.
Performs resident assessments in a timely and accurate manner.
Performs shift reports in an accurate and efficient manner.
Keeps physicians and families aware of changes in resident’s condition.
Assists in developing comprehensive care plans.
Ensures all facility policies and procedures are followed and all state/federal regulations are adhered to.
Assists in admitting and discharging residents.
