In addition, the hospital offers advanced minimally invasive options such as single-port and robotic surgery that promote faster recovery, reduced pain, and smaller incisions, helping patients return to their lives more quickly. As an RN on our team, you will ensure patients are prepped, prepared and comfortable before, during and after surgical procedures. Your compassion can make all the difference in their overall experience and offer comfort during often distressing times. A caregiver in this role works days + on-call shifts from 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. or 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. with occasional Saturday requirements.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (AND or BSN program)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (If you do not hold this certification, you must obtain it within six months of hire)
• One year of RN experience OR completion of Cleveland Clinic’s Perioperative Residency Program

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Perioperative experience

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in an operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
• Perform scrub and circulating functions.
• Prepare the OR, surgical instruments, and equipment for use.
