About The Position
RN Telemetry Day/Night shift 12hrs Clinician is expected to float to med surg Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry / Med-Surg is responsible for providing direct patient care to adult patients with a variety of medical conditions, including those requiring cardiac monitoring. The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality outcomes.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (required depending on facility)
- Minimum 1–2 years of recent Telemetry or Med-Surg experience
- Ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythms
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms using telemetry equipment
- Assess patient condition, recognize changes, and respond appropriately
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Perform patient and family education regarding conditions and treatments
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Respond to emergencies and initiate life-saving interventions when necessary
