About The Position

RN Telemetry Day/Night shift 12hrs Clinician is expected to float to med surg Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry / Med-Surg is responsible for providing direct patient care to adult patients with a variety of medical conditions, including those requiring cardiac monitoring. The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (required depending on facility)
  • Minimum 1–2 years of recent Telemetry or Med-Surg experience
  • Ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythms
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms using telemetry equipment
  • Assess patient condition, recognize changes, and respond appropriately
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Perform patient and family education regarding conditions and treatments
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
  • Respond to emergencies and initiate life-saving interventions when necessary
