RN Triage Float / Infusion Clinic
About The Position
We are hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for a Triage Nurse Float position supporting ambulatory care clinics and an Infusion Clinic. This outpatient nursing role includes telephone triage, in-person triage, care coordination, and infusion therapy support. Ideal candidates have strong assessment skills, enjoy a float role, and thrive in a fast-paced outpatient clinic environment. For over 30 years, Neuroscience Group has provided excellent neurologic care for the Fox Valley and Northeast Wisconsin. NSG is the only medical facility in the area that combines neurosurgery, neurology, orthopedic spine surgery, interventional and non-interventional pain management, neuro endovascular care and therapy services. Our practice has grown to over 50 providers and serves patients in nine outlying clinics scattered throughout the region. Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- 2+ years of clinical nursing experience
- Strong triage nursing, assessment, and communication skills
- Experience with EMR systems
- BLS certification
Nice To Haves
- Triage Nurse experience (ambulatory or telephone)
- Infusion RN or infusion therapy experience
- Outpatient nursing experience
Responsibilities
- Perform telephone triage and in-person patient triage using clinical protocols
- Assess symptoms, determine acuity, and collaborate with providers
- Document nursing assessments and patient communication in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Provide patient education and care coordination
- Assist in the Infusion Clinic with patient assessments, IV starts, vital signs, and patient monitoring
- Monitor for and respond to infusion reactions per protocol
- Float between specialty clinics to support staffing and patient flow
