About The Position

The Interventional Lab RN delivers specialized care and treatment to patients undergoing interventional/vascular procedures. The staff is on-call for off shifts/weekends as scheduled. Requirements

  • Licensed RN in state of Iowa or compact state.
  • Experience in critical care, telemetry and/or cardiovascular.
  • BLS and CORE certification.

Responsibilities

  • Able to take call based on "on-call" policy.
  • Strong EKG rhythm interpretation skills.
  • Ability to provide leadership in Emergency or Code Blue roles.
  • Maintain ability to perform in an assertive yet supportive manner when functioning with physicians in the procedural setting.
  • Maintain knowledge of patient equipment and therapeutic modalities utilized in the Cath Lab.
  • Maintain knowledge of medications and conscious sedation used in the Cath Lab.
  • Complies with department policies regarding appropriate sterile technique and radiation safety.
  • Participate in education, community activities and performance improvement projects.
  • Oversees maintenance and provides troubleshooting of equipment.
