About The Position

The Interventional Lab RN delivers specialized care and treatment to patients undergoing interventional/vascular procedures. The staff is on-call for off shifts/weekends as scheduled. Requirements

Licensed RN in state of Iowa or compact state.
Experience in critical care, telemetry and/or cardiovascular.
BLS and CORE certification.

Responsibilities

Able to take call based on "on-call" policy.
Strong EKG rhythm interpretation skills.
Ability to provide leadership in Emergency or Code Blue roles.
Maintain ability to perform in an assertive yet supportive manner when functioning with physicians in the procedural setting.
Maintain knowledge of patient equipment and therapeutic modalities utilized in the Cath Lab.
Maintain knowledge of medications and conscious sedation used in the Cath Lab.
Complies with department policies regarding appropriate sterile technique and radiation safety.
Participate in education, community activities and performance improvement projects.
Oversees maintenance and provides troubleshooting of equipment.
