About The Position

Serenity for Life is a new women's residential program opened October of 2025! It is a private pay, voluntary, 12-bed, luxury facility nestled in the mountains of Georgetown, Colorado. The number of beds and extended stay offers staff the ability to work closely with the residents and to make a difference in their lives, the lives of their loved ones, and the communities in which they reside. We utilize evidence-based practices and provide trauma-informed care. We provide a safe, relaxing environment while offering residents the tools and support needed to manage their substance use and co-occurring disorders. The single rooms with stream and mountain views from the balconies and private hot tubs offer a peaceful environment for residents to heal and grow. The numerous outdoor adventures allow the residents to learn new activities, reduce stress, improve sleep, build self-confidence, and develop long-lasting friendships. Position Summary: The RN is responsible for providing nursing care to no more than 12 clients in a voluntary residential facility. This person is responsible for ensuring coordinated delivery of care in accordance with established standards of care and the agency's policies and procedures. Duties will include ensuring the timely implementation of orders given, reporting of client needs, and documentation. The RN performs direct services to clients including medication administration and education of prescribed medications. Collaboration with therapists and other healthcare professionals is essential to ensure effective treatment and support for clients' recovery.

Requirements

  • Licensed as an RN in the State of Colorado
  • Current BLS Certification or obtain prior to orientation

Responsibilities

  • Client Assessment:
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' mental and physical health by gathering comprehensive case histories through interviews with clients and their families.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the physician, Director of Nursing, and therapist.
  • Monitor the client's condition and progress, and inform the care team of the status or changes.
  • Medication Administration and Management:
  • Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and safety.
  • Monitor client's response to medications and report any adverse effects.
  • Educate clients and families on medication regimens.
  • Vital Signs and Monitoring:
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as heart rate, blood pressure, and temperature.
  • Operate and monitor medical equipment.
  • Client Education and Support:
  • Educate clients and families on their mental & health conditions and management strategies.
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to clients and their families.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Conducts nurse-led group events/trainings.
  • Work closely with therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to design and adjust treatment plans, ensuring a holistic approach to client care.
  • Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of client assessments, care plans, interventions, and progress notes to ensure continuity of care and compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Oversee:
  • Guide and direct the activities of the Behavioral Health Technicians.
  • Other Responsibilities:
  • May be responsible for managing medical equipment and supplies.
  • May assist with diagnostic tests and procedures.
  • May be involved in client advocacy and discharge planning.
  • Other Duties As Assigned
