About The Position

The Clerk/Deli Clerk position is responsible for providing great customer service as well as fresh food preparation and display. The Clerk/Del Clerk is responsible for ringing customer sales, receiving payments, and maintaining food safety regulations.

This is a part time position. Scheduled hours per week average 20-30 hours a week based on business needs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Previous register operating experience preferred
• Previous food handling experience preferred
• Previous customer service experience preferred
• Food Handler’s Card or the ability to obtain a Food Handler’s Card within 30 days of employment.
• Current California Identification.
• Ability to lift to 45 pounds unassisted.
• All applicants are required to complete the pre-screen Background Clearing and Drug Testing

Responsibilities

• Operates the Point-of-Sale system providing customer service at the register.
• Create and prepare food items according to recipes provided.
• Performs cleaning and sanitation of kitchen area, tools & surfaces
• Monitors food displays and re-stocks fresh food merchandise as needed.
• Meets customer service needs at the register and deli.
• Supports management team in achieving store goals.
