About The Position

The Durable Slate Company, an award-winning historic roofing contractor established in 1986, is seeking a Roofer to join our team. We specialize in historic slate, clay-tile, and copper roofing and are known for our commitment to quality craftsmanship, safety, and preservation excellence. What You’ll Do Install, repair, and maintain historic slate, clay-tile, and copper roofing systems Work on architecturally and historically significant buildings Assist with material handling, job site setup, and clean-up Follow company safety standards and maintain a professional job site Collaborate with a team of skilled roofers and preservation specialists Travel to various job sites as needed, with paid travel time and logistics support What We’re Looking For Experience in slate, clay-tile, or copper roofing Comfortable working at heights using ladders, lifts, and scaffolding Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Valid driver’s license with no more than 4 points, pass a pre-employment drug test and background check Strong work ethic, reliability, and teamwork Willingness and ability to travel to different job sites Desire for a long-term career in historic roofing and preservation Compensation Competitive pay, based on experience and skill level Performance-based advancement opportunities Paid travel time between job sites

Requirements

  • Experience in slate, clay-tile, or copper roofing
