About The Position

We are seeking an Estimator who has previous experience estimating for roofing and siding contractors. In this role, you will be working with our clients to obtain bid documents, plans, and specifications in order to prepare accurate takeoffs and submit estimates. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and has a proven track record as an Estimator.

Requirements

Previous experience as an Estimator is Required
Experienced and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) is Required
Project Management Skills
Ability to forecast building costs and knowledge of estimation formulas
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Skilled in relevant software (PlanSwift)
Excellent research, writing, and negotiation skills

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is preferred but not required
Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) is preferred

Responsibilities

Fully understand the project scope and requirements by studying documentation, corresponding with clients
Collect necessary documentation such as plans, drawings, and project specifications
Prepare takeoffs using PlanSwift for new construction projects
Utilize third-party tools (EagleView, GAF QuickMeasure, and/or Hover)
Determine the key variables for cost and conduct research to determine expected labor and materials costs
Gather bids and negotiate with service providers to secure the best possible prices
Create and submit estimates to clients and project managers
Budget and forecast using appropriate software
