A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A ROUTE DRIVER As a Route Driver, you are responsible for collecting and transporting raw materials from our broad customer base back to facilities and transfer stations. Our customers range in size from small-scale butchers, grocers, and restaurants up to large-scale food processors. Driving a straight truck or a tractor-trailer, you collect materials from multiple customers along your route each day - climbing in and out of your truck and operating lift equipment is part of your daily routine. Managing your route with an onboard computer (OBC) and also keeping an up-to-date backup paper log for compliance purposes is part of your daily routine. Taking responsibility for your truck, you keep it clean and complete a vehicle condition report on a daily basis. In addition, you provide exceptional service to your customers while following all laws and regulations. You love that you get to hit the road for a living, while still being home most nights!
