About The Position

Rubber Liner Weir Minerals Surrey, BC Onsite Day Shift M-F 6a-2:30p Purpose of Role: The Rubber Liner will carry out rubber lining processes according to standard safety procedures. They will be responsible for reading blueprints and drawings to achieve accuracy with laying, lining, and applying rubber on product. Requirements

  • Experience in a hands on, manual labor type role
  • Basic knowledge of hand and measuring tools
  • Thorough knowledge of reading and understanding blueprints

Responsibilities

  • Prepare Product: Prepare pipes and hoses for application of rubber lining by rolling or painting interior surfaces after the sandblasting operation has been completed
  • Rubber Lining: Apply rubber to interior surfaces by following instructions, drawings and sketches provided
  • Read Blueprint Drawings: Use a layout table to lay out rubber components according to the specified drawings that will dictate tolerances on a blueprint drawing
  • Material Handling: Loading, unloading, and handling of material within the facility as required (mechanical & manually handling)
