About The Position

Job Summary: The Running Coach leads group training sessions and supports runners of various ability levels. This role focuses on planning workouts, promoting safe running practices, and fostering a positive, inclusive running community. Requirements

  • Experience with running training or coaching preferred.
  • Knowledge of endurance training and injury prevention.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Passion for running and community fitness.
  • Coaching certification from organizations such as USA Track & Field or Road Runners Club of America and/or Nationally Accredited Personal Training Certification
  • CPR/AED/First Aid Certification Required

Responsibilities

  • Plan and lead weekly run club workouts, including warm-ups and cool-downs.
  • Provide guidance on pacing, running form, endurance, and injury prevention.
  • Adapt workouts to accommodate different experience and fitness levels.
  • Encourage motivation, teamwork, and a welcoming club environment.
  • Ensure safety during group runs by selecting appropriate routes and monitoring participants.
  • Support runners in setting and achieving personal or race goals.
