About The Position

The KGB Lab ( https://kgb.lab.ufl.edu/) research group is seeking Russian Language Annotators. The annotators will be responsible for the following tasks:
Reviewing Soviet secret police files
Generating structured data from police files in a spreadsheet and an annotation framework
Transcribing handwritten Russian-language text
Validating AI-generated data from police files Reporting to the Annotations Lead and lab director about the files.

Requirements

• Must have Federal Work Study award for Spring 2026
• Full-time student at University of Florida
• Advanced (third year or better) Russian
• Interest in History
• Familiarity with spreadsheets
