About The Position

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for supporting the full project lifecycle from initial brief through event delivery for the SEG Sports and Entertainment program. This role owns the day-to-day management of budgets, schedules, and subcontractor performance, acting as a key client liaison and internal team lead. The PM executes strategic directives into actionable delivery plans and ensures that every build meets SEG Sports and Entertainment standards for quality, efficiency, and safety.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in event project management, construction, or overlay delivery.
  • Proven track record managing complex, multi-vendor projects from concept to completion.
  • Strong familiarity with permitting, logistics, and hospitality infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in project tracking software (Smartsheet, Airtable, MS Project).
  • Proven ability to prioritize and deliver across multiple simultaneous projects with commercial and contractual accountability.
  • Experience working within a matrixed organizational structure; familiarity with fabrication or manufacturing processes a plus.

  • Experience working internationally or in multi-venue environments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, budgeting, and execution of assigned SEG Sports and Entertainment projects.
  • Schedule and lead weekly design and drafting calls with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop scopes of work, master production schedules, and budgets for approval by the Senior Project Manager.
  • Serve as the main point of contact with the client for all project communication, updates, and deliverables.
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractor performance, including Tier 1 structures and hospitality builds.
  • Support and coordinate with Assistant Project Managers and site teams to ensure on-time, on-budget deliver Continuous Improvement & Professional Development Identify opportunities for improvement in project processes; participate in departmental and organizational initiatives.
  • Ensure Lessons Learned discussions occur for projects that warrant both celebration of positive outcomes and critical reflection on challenges.
  • Actively seek opportunities to build new skills and expand knowledge across markets; focus on both technical hard skills and interpersonal soft skills.
  • Submit and track permitting packages in coordination with the Drafting & Design Director.
  • Lead risk management, cost tracking, and change order processes throughout project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with SEG’s standards for Health & Safety, design integrity, and client experience.
  • Conduct on-site reviews and post-event debriefs to evaluate project success and areas for improvement.
  • Participate in translating client needs into project scope; support proposal and quote development during the bidding phase.
  • Drive development of creative and technical solutions; participate in cost estimates and determine contingencies.
  • Understand and manage the project’s commercial terms, contractual obligations, and legal relationships between SEG and the client.
  • Ensure SEG’s duties and responsibilities are properly executed, and that the client executes their obligations; protect SEG’s interests where necessary.
